About
Currency clarity for everyone
FX Comparison is a free browser tool for travellers and anyone managing foreign currency. We show indicative mid-market movement so you can understand whether timing helped or hurt — without signing up or sending your data to a server.
How it works
Log
Enter a past exchange — date, currency pair, amount, and the rate you received (or mid-market reference).
Compare
See how that same amount would fare today, or open Compare dates to study two historical days side by side.
Track
Save exchanges to My Exchanges on this device. Review your travel money history without an account.
Data source
European Central Bank mid-market rates via Frankfurter API. Rates publish on ECB business days; weekends and holidays use the nearest prior business day.
Disclaimer

More about FX Comparison
No sign-up, no password. The app runs in your browser; saved exchanges use localStorage only. You can compare rates and browse trends without creating a profile.
ECB reference rates publish on business days. When you compare or load a chart, we fetch the latest available point from our API cache backed by Frankfurter. Stale or missing dates fall back to the nearest prior business day.
No. FX Comparison is an educational comparison tool for travel money and personal budgeting. It is not regulated financial advice, not a price guarantee, and not a substitute for quotes from your bank or payment provider.
Saved exchanges do not travel with you — they are tied to the browser where you saved them. Compare and chart features still work everywhere; only the local history needs to be re-entered on a new device.
